Burning PaperGate Raima CD for Distribution to third party:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This white paper describes how to create PaperGate CD for distribution. Three things should be put on the CD : PaperGate CD software, Raima database files and the scanned images.

1. Create a "database" directory in your staging area.

e.g. if you are scanning to your D drive ( i.e staging area ), you will have a directory structure as D:\database

2. In D:\database directory make another directory and give it the actual database name. e.g. if your database name is "fincks" , you will have D:\database\fincks

3. Copy all the database files i.e. fincks.da0 ....................fincks.da9 files into that D:\database\fincks\ directory. You will now have following files :

D:\database\fincks\fincks.da0

D:\database\fincks\fincks.da1

........

D:\database\fincks\fincks.da9

D:\database\fincks\fincks.id0

.......

D:\database\fincks\fincks.id4

.

...

D:\database\fincks\*.*

These represent all the files in your original database.

4. Copy all the files in disk1 and disk2 of PaperGate CD to the root of your D drive. You will now have the following files:

D:\pg.exe

D:\.....

D:\*.*

5. Delete file D:\setup.pkg

6. Rename file D:\setupcd.pkg to D:\setup.pkg

7. Create a file "D:\pg.inf"

Edit the file "pg.inf" to read:

---------------------------------

1

fincks|Financial Checks

----------------------------------

8. Now burn the CD by copying all the files from D to the CD. Both D and the CD should have the same volume label.

9. The CD is now ready for distribution. To test the CD you have just created, go to another computer and put the CD in CD ROM drive and click on "setup.exe". All necessary files will be installed automatically. You can now do a search by going to "Search/Simple".
