Gupta Client Installation for Workstation
1. Check for a Centura directory
2. If there is a Centura directory then rename it to Centura.old
3. Insert the CD
4. Run Setup.exe
5. Click next
6. Click SQL Client
7. Under Microsoft Windows NT choose Windows 95 and Windows3.11
8. Unclick Centura books
9. Click next
10. After the load completes choose Windows 3.x and put the dot in client


11. Remove anything from the left side and add ONLY TCP/IP

12. Put in the server path at the bottom of the screen...server path: {server},{IP address of the server}/db,*
13. Click OK
14. Repeat steps 10-13 for Windows 95 Client
15. Click Exit
16. Setup is complete and Click OK
17. Go to the file c:\windows\hosts and make sure that the IP address and the server name are in there, these will be located at the bottom of the screen
127.0.0.1 server_name
Check Communications
1. Click Start/Programs/Centura/SQL Talk
2. Default Database is island
3. Click Session/Connect - and the connect dialog box comes up
4. Database name is island
5. User name is sysadm
6. password is sysadm
7. Click on Connect
If SQL connects to the server then everything is running fine with the setup on the SQL Client side
Installing PaperGate Gupta
1. Put in the disk and choose setup.exe
2. Choose workstation
3. Use a new pg.cfg file
4. Under network choose standalone
5. Choose PaperGate and DB utilities
6. Rename the path to c:\pg\ and the config path to c:\pg\config
7. The interface will depend on the scanner
8. Click OK and complete the installation
9. After install is completed go to the pg.ini file in the windows directory and add
[_dbase]
Servername={servername}
e.g Servername=server1
Installation is now complete
